On 10/29/14, the State Health Officer, Dr. Ron Chapman, of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued a quarantine order and risk-based guidelines for individuals coming into CA from Ebola-affected areas, who have had contact with a confirmed case. For more information on Ebola, including transmission, symptoms and updates on the current outbreak, visit the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health or the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). Currently, the risk of an Ebola outbreak in the United States is very low. The Pasadena Public Health Department and partners are taking precautions to prevent this from happening.
