    Lateral or Entry Level Police Officer

    Salary: 

    $31.87 - $39.03 Hourly
    $2,548.87 - $3,122.34 Biweekly
    $5,524.72 - $6,765.08 Monthly
    $66,296.67 - $81,180.94 Annually

    AA or AS Degree - $175/mo
    BA or BS Degree - $500/ mo
    Advanced Post Certificate - $500/mo
    Special Assignment Bonus - $100 to $600/ mo
    PERS Retirement - 3% at 55 (9% paid by City)
    Holidays - 12 fully paid
    Vacations - Up to 20 days per year
    Alternate Work Schedules - 3/12, 4/10, 9/80
    Bilingual Pay - $140/mo
    Tuition/Fee Reimbursement - Up to $500/year

    Lateral appointments are generally hired above minimum salary at Step 2, 3, or 4.
