    Long Manga Series

Each of these series has many volumes in our collection...

    • Case Closed, by Gosh Aoyama - Jimmy Kudo is on his way to becoming the world's greatest detective since the fictional Sherlock Holmes, when he finds himself the victim of a terrible crime...a poisoning that affects his own appearance. Now, in order to track down the criminals, he has to solve crimes while looking like a young child, among other problems... (YA GN CASEC)
    • Claymore, by Norihiro Yagi - The world is being overrun by demons, and the only defense against them is to alter young girls and make them into mankind's only hope in the war for survival. There are drawbacks, though. If the price is too high, is survival worthwhile? (YA GN CLAYM)
    • Cromartie High School by Eiji Nonaka - Okay, so Azumanga Daioh seemed tame compared to your high school...well then, you're ready for this one, where the students include a robot, a gorilla, and a dead rock star. The school was named for an American baseball player [against his wishes] and is the home of the roughest, rowdiest teenaged boys in Japan...plus one good student who is there for his own reasons. (YA GN CROMA)
    • Fushigi Yugi, the Mysterious Play by Yu Watase - Have you ever gotten really caught up in a good book? What if it wouldn’t let go? Miaka Yuki finds herself between pages and with no easy way home. (YA GN FUSHI)
    • GetBackers, by Yuya Aoki - Two detectives, who live in a car and whose only office is a coffee house, will recover anything for a fee, as long as it legally belongs to you. Of course, this means they get all the really crazy cases. (YA GN GETBA)
    • Iron Wok Jan, by Shinji Saijyo - A wild and crazy adventure about...well, cooking. Not just any cooking, but the kind you see on The Iron Chef on television...only a lot stranger, as the main characters fight to become top chefs, but with their own agendas as well. (YA GN IRONW)
    • Naruto, by Masashi Kishimoto - Yes, this is the one that goes with the TV show...these books are the source of the stories you've seen on the screen, and they're just as crazy. If you think your school is tough, try taking the finals at a school for ninja! (YA GN NARUT)
    • No Need for Tenchi by Hitoshi Okuda - You would think that freeing an ageless space pirate disguised as a demon from a tomb in the family garden would be enough excitement for any teen, but that was only the start of the story for Tenchi. (YA GN NONEE)
    • Prince of Tennis, by Takeshi Konomi - A young tennis player returns to Japan, after living abroad for much of his life. He's a great tennis player...but not a very nice person. (YA GN PRINC)
    • Ranma ½ by Rumiko Takahashi - Ranma and his father both live under one of the funniest curses in history. How can a curse be funny? Well, you will have to read it to find out…A martial arts story with a lot of humor, magic and family crises. (YA GN RANMA)
    • Sgt. Frog, by Mine Yoshizaki - Earth has been invaded by an advance party of high-tech, military-minded aliens...who, unfortunately, happen to look a lot like Earth frogs. Also, the advance party really isn't very good at this "invading planets" thing... (YA GN SGTFR)
    • Vampire Knight, by Matsuri Hino - Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the day class and the night class. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the guardians of the school, protecting the day class from the Academy's dark secret: the night class is full of vampires! (YA GN VAMPI)

    Short Manga Series

These shorter series don't require a lifetime commitment of your reading time, but are still fun.

    • Azumanga Daioh by Kiyohiko Azuma - If you ever thought that your school was a crazy place to be, this story will show you just how safe and sane your school really is...by comparison to this place. Child prodigies, transfer students, hyper-competitive students, hyper-crazy teachers and, well, just general strangeness... (YA GN AZUMA)
    • Full Metal Panic, by Shouji Gatou - You knew we had to have at least one giant robot manga on this list, right? This one is a little different, though, as the giant robot is part of a secret surveillance unit trying to keep a teenaged girl safe from mysterious terrorists...without letting her know that either the terrorists or the guards are there. Have YOU ever tried to hide a giant robot next to a high school campus? It's not as easy as it sounds... (YA GN FULLM)
