The City of Pasadena, Human Services and Recreation Department is proud to offer Passport to Fun! Scholarships to qualified applicants aged 17 and under; living in Pasadena or attending a Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) School to ensure that all City residents have the opportunity to participate in recreational classes, programs and camps to further enrich their lives. Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis until such time as limited funding is exhausted. Applicants must submit a completed application along with proof of restricted income and residency by published deadlines. The application window was open on Wednesday, February 22 and closed on Friday, March 10.
Robinson Park Recreation Center will close to the general public beginning Monday, January 9, 2017. The Center is scheduled to be under construction from early 2017 through Spring 2018.
Robinson Park staff, including the headquarters of the After School Adventures Program, will be temporarily housed at the Jackie Robinson Community Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Avenue from January 2017 through March 2018. All staff will retain existing telephone numbers and email addresses. Robinson Park’s main line, (626) 744-7330, will be forwarded to the Jackie Robinson Community Center.
No reductions in programming will occur. All programming will continue at other locations around the City, and program participants will be notified of new and ongoing recreation, youth sports and Spring, Summer and Winter Camp opportunities through the Department’s seasonal brochures, monthly newsletters and regularly updated website.
