    Cultural Data Project 2009/2010

    Participation in the Cultural Data project will required for all organizations applying to the Pasadena 2009/2010 Annual Grant Program. The Cultural Data Project gives arts organizations a standardized application process that over time will enable them to track and analyze their financial and organizational data and compare the information with that of their peers.

    Pasadena Artist's Registry

    Pasadena Artist's Registry The City of Pasadena's Artist Registry is an online resource for individuals, schools, arts organizations and others looking to buy art, to hire teaching artists for special programs or permanent employment, or to network with artists in the community. This directory also provides a free venue in which artists and arts organizations can promote their services and strengthen their visibility.

     The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission are proud to display the artwork of students from the Pasadena Unified School District.
    A panel of Commissioners and arts professionals selected this work from the District's annual all-school art show, "No Boundaries". Please visit the exhibit, located on the second floor of City Hall across from the City Council Chambers

    Cultural Nexus

    Beginning in February 2004, the City of Pasadena, led by the Cultural Affairs Division and Arts Commission, embarked on the Cultural Nexus (CNP).  The CNP will be Pasadena's first comprehensive cultural plan and will be largely developed through a series of town hall meetings and special workshops. 

    The Second Annual Cultural Nexus Summit was held on March 5, 2008 and focused on creating the next phase of Pasadena's Cultural Nexus plan: Promoting Cultural Access & Inclusion in the Arts.   Information in English or Spanish

    Public Art

    Pasadena's Public Art program provides opportunities for art in public places in both city-owned facilities and private development. Funded primarily by a one-percent ordinance, many commercial and civic buildings in Pasadena now include artwork by nationally-recognized artists.  Visit our Walking Tours of the City's Public Art Collection!

    Public Art Program for the Pasadena Convention Center

    Convention CenterArts & Culture Commission approved the exterior artworks for the Pasadena Center at the December 10, 2008 Commission meeting. The artworks were reviewed by City Council and this project is currently on hold.
