Significant changes in the healthcare marketplace and increased access by the public to prenatal healthcare services from other community providers means the Public Health Department's Prenatal Clinic is expected to close by December 31, 2015. Effective May 1, 2015, the Department's Prenatal Clinic stopped accepting new patients and began to transition its existing clients to other providers. The decision was necessary in order to accommodate the changing landscape of healthcare services provided under the Affordable Care Act. This will also allow the Pasadena Public Health Department to re-focus its attention on State-mandated and other core public health services. Click here to view the full letter.
