Pasadena Police and Fire Departments utilize two primary public notification
systems to advise the Pasadena community of public safety alert and community
information. Nixle is the primary system for the Police Department. Residents,
visitors and businesses are encouraged to register at “nixle.com” to receive
trusted alerts at no cost by cellphone text message, e-mail and/or the web.
Registration is fast and easy and users set their personal level of
notification and geographic areas.
For public safety notification from
the Fire Department, register for emergency alerts at: http://ww2.cityofpasadena.net/disaster/
and select the Emergency Notifications (PLEAS) link. There are a variety of emergency notification
you may select. If you receive an email from PasadenaLocalAlert@cityofpasadena.net,
important information will be included.
Citizens are encouraged to view the City’s website for disaster preparedness
Police and Fire Departments utilize Reverse-911 to notify residents and
business of police activity in their immediate area impacting safety and/or
traffic. These notifications are restricted to landlines, no cellphones.
