Qualifying high school seniors can now win up to $5,000 for college through the new Pasadena Water and Power Educational Scholarship. This new competition is meant to get our best and brightest students thinking about brand new ways to create a sustainable future for all of us.

Scholarship funds can be used for any accredited two-year college or four-year university. Applicants need to write a 300- to 500-word statement answering one of these questions
1) Water scarcity is a major issue and topic of concern. How can Pasadena Water and Power do a better job of communicating the importance of water conservation to young adults?
2) Renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power are going to play and important role in our future. What type of energy source do you feel is best for our environment?
