On March 5, 2013, eligible, registered voters in Pasadena will be able to participate in the primary elections for representatives of City Council Districts 3, 5 and 7 and the Pasadena Unified School District’s (PUSD) Board of Education Districts 1, 3, 5 and 7.
Candidates in each City or PUSD district who receive 50 percent of the vote, plus one, will win that district election and no run-off election will be required for that specific district seat. Should a candidate not receive a 50 percent (plus one) majority vote in the primary election, a general municipal run-off election will be held on April 16, 2013 for the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes in that district’s the primary election.

Poll workers and accessible polling sites are still needed for the March 2013 consolidated City and PUSD primary nominating election as well as the April 16, 2013 general municipal election, should a run-off election becomes necessary.
