Flu season’s here, but you can protect yourself and your loved ones with low-cost shots from the Pasadena Public Health Department.
While most of us would suffer through fever, headache, fatigue, a dry cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle aches and stomach problems, influenza – or the flu -- can lead to serious complications, especially in people with chronic health conditions. The virus sends 200,000 people to the hospital and causes 36,000 deaths each year.
Call your family doctor today, check for shots at your local drugstore or pharmacy, or take advantage of free and low-cost shots from the Health Department. You can get a $25 shot at the Adult Immunization Clinic at 1845 N. Fair Oaks Ave. during regular walk-in hours from 8:15 to 11 a.m. and 1:15 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
