Get your personal documents shredded for free at the city’s next e-waste collection event on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Parking Lot I of Brookside Park, south of the Rose Bowl.
Public Works has teamed up with Shred-It, a document shredding company, to help Pasadena residents fight identity theft and promote recycling. You can bring up to five legal-sized boxes of old receipts, checks, pre-approved credit applications, credit card statements, outdated tax returns, envelopes and return-address labels, business cards and more. Mobile trucks shredded and recycled more than 180 boxes of paper on-site at the last event in August.
You can also drop off old electronics for recycling, including televisions, computer equipment, phones, DVD players and VCRs, radios, office equipment, microwaves and more. For details, call 744-4087 or e-mail email@example.com.
