While you’re out and about with your dog, be sure to bring a scooper or recycled grocery bag. Dog waste creates a mess and makes its way into storm drains that lead straight to the ocean.
And keep Rover close: The Pasadena Municipal Code requires a dog to be kept on a leash at all times on city streets and while visiting parks and nature trails.
You can meet like-minded animal lovers at Viña Vieja Park’s off-leash dog area on the south side of Orange Grove Boulevard between Sierra Madre Boulevard and Sierra Madre Villa Avenue, where large and small dogs can romp leash-free. Water dishes and dog waste stations are provided.
