Learn to fine-tune your health, your finances and your lifeat the 10th annual Pasadena Conference on Aging on Thursday, April 21, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena. 3700 E. Sierra Madre Blvd. Admission is free and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
The popular event features a slate of workshops focused on common concerns of seniors citizens. Following the theme “Successful Aging,” sessions will cover Social Security and Medicare, health and fitness, scams and identity theft, elder abuse, staying connected, dating after 50, fall prevention and senior living options. Participants can also take advantage of a full array of free health screenings.
The event’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Juanita L. Watts, Southern California’s regional coordinator for Women’s Health at Kaiser Permanente.
The conference is presented by the city of Pasadena, Pasadena Senior Commission and the Pasadena Senior Center, with sponsorships from Kaiser Permanente, AARP, Royal Oaks Manor and Right at Home Living Inc.
