Have you ever wondered what Pasadena looked like 100 years ago? Now you can browse through hundreds of digital images of Pasadena people and places – for free – through the Pasadena Digital History Collaboration. Check it out at www.pasadenadigitalhistory.com or on Facebook under Pasadena Digital History.
A partnership of Pasadena Public Library, Pasadena Museum of History and Pasadena City College’s Shatford Library, the user-friendly site makes it easy to browse through and download files from the collections of all three institutions. Their mission is to build the largest, comprehensive database of Pasadena images, stories and publications available for students, researchers and history buffs. Browse by category, search with keywords and store your favorites.
The project was funded by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the Library Services Technology Act. For more information e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 744-4279.
