Reese's Retreat Groundbreaking

Ground was broken recently for Reeseā€™s Retreat, a universally accessible playground that will be constructed at the south end of Brookside Park adjacent to the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. The playground, which will have a nautical and pirate ship theme, was named by the Pasadena City Council in memory of Reese Thomas Elliott. Children with and without disabilities will enjoy a variety of sensory play experiences, including accessible features, ramps and platforms. This year is the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
