Adaptive Recreation The Adaptive Recreation Program activities are offered to serve the recreational needs of individuals with disabilities. Persons with physical disabilities or mobility impairments are welcome to participate in both the regular and Adaptive Recreation Programs. Facilities such as tennis courts, gymnasiums, auditoriums, and ball fields are also available for specific functions. After School Playgrounds The after school recreation playground program is governed by the City of Pasadena and administered through the Human Services and Recreation Department. The Pasadena Unified School District has a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Pasadena in terms of facility usage schools. A minimal fee is charged for youth sports and cheerleading. Each school allows indoor usage in case of inclement weather. Citywide Special Programs Take a look at the the Special Programs that the City of Pasadena has to offer. From In-Line Skating to Fast action Basketball to Field Archery you'll find many ways to stay active and have fun. Summer Day Camp Registration for all camp programs will be WALK-IN only. This includes Villa Parke, Victory Park, Robinson Park, and Allendale Playcamp. A payment plan is available. Note: Anyone not meeting the final payment deadline will have his/her child’s name removed and placed at the bottom of the waiting list. There will be a 20% administration fee on all refunds. Parents/guardians of children with disabilities need to contact Jackie Scott, Adaptive Recreation Specialist at (626) 744-7257. Each camper is required to have on file at their respective camps a permission slip, an emergency card, and a photo release form. Your child can not be officially registered until all of the above documents have been received and signed by a parent or guardian. A 20% deposit is required.
