    Accessibility Issues Coordinator

    • Advise City staff and officials about obligations under State and Federal law that municipal facilities, services (including transportation), and employment practices may not discriminate on the basis of disability.
    • Coordinate the City's effort to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
    • Provide City documents in Braille, including the newsletter Pasadena In Focus.
    • Investigate complaints of inaccessibility and discrimination based on disability in City facilities, services, and employment practices.
    • Assist interested persons with information to eliminate accessibility barriers.
    • Explain accessibility provisions in the California State Building Code and ADA Accessibility Standards.
    • Provide staff support to the Accessibility and Disability Commission.
