On August 17th, the Pasadena City Council unanimously accepted the recommendation of the Public Safety Committee to implement the proposed restrictions on parking within the urban-wildland interface (UWI) on days of extreme fire hazard, also known as Red Flag days. The Fire Department will be moving to aggressively, yet carefully, implement this program to improve the safety of our residents in the UWI.
All of the comments made by members of the public were carefully considered and addressed by Fire Department staff. The summary of comments, and staff responses, is included in "Attachment B- Comments" from the Agenda Report.
The complete Agenda Report can be found here: http://ww2.cityofpasadena.net/councilagendas/2009%20agendas/Aug_17_09/agenda.asp
