APPLICATIONS FOR ARTS GRANT FUNDING DUE 5 PM THURSDAY, MAY 15, 2014
PASADENA, Calif.—Completed applications are due no later than 5 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 for grant funding consideration with the City’s Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Annual Grants Program through the Planning & Community Development Department's Cultural Affairs Division. Applications and related information are online at www.cityofpasadena.net/arts.
Applications must be received in the Division's office no later than 5 p.m. May 15, 2014. Applications can be mailed, but applicants are advised that postmarks will not be accepted in lieu of the actual delivery deadline. The office is at 175 N. Garfield Ave., Pasadena, CA 91109.
The Annual Grants Program provides support to local arts and culture organizations for projects and programs that reach Pasadena audiences and public school classrooms. Applicants may submit proposals in five categories: Arts & Culture I, II or II (based on organizational budget size), Arts Education, Festivals & Parades or Individual Artists Projects. All applicants are required to meet the guideline requirements posted online.
Funding is provided by the City of Pasadena. Grant awards are made to programs of quality as recommended by a panel of arts professionals to the City’s Arts and Culture Commission. Last year, 27 grants were awarded totaling about $142,000. Awards have ranged from about $1,700 to $8,000.
