UPDATE: PUBLIC INVITED TO HOUSING ELEMENT WORKSHOP NOW SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 8, 2013
PASADENA, Calif.—The public is invited to a June 8, 2013 workshop to learn about the update of the Pasadena Housing Element. The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8 in the Community Room on the second floor of the Fair Oaks Renaissance Plaza building, 649 N. Fair Oaks Ave.
The City has begun a six- to eight-month process of updating the Housing Element, one of seven state-mandated elements of the General Plan. The Housing Element was last adopted by the City Council on July 26, 2010. State law requires the City to plan for its share of the region’s population growth. The Housing Element update will address housing needs in this City for the years 2014-2021.
The public will be able to learn what the City’s Housing Element does and the programs that implement it. The public will be able to provide comment on the success of the housing element programs and offer suggestions on how to improve it.
