New One City, One Story Selection Announced Nov. 5

PASADENA’S NEW BOOK SELECTION TO BE UNVEILED MONDAY

PASADENA, Calif. — Pasadena Public Library’s 2013 One City, One Story selection will be unveiled by Mayor Bill Bogaard and Library Director Jan Sanders at 6:30 p.m., Monday, November 5 at the Pasadena Central Library’s Fountain Courtyard, 285 E. Walnut St.

This is the 11th One City, One Story book.  Last year’s selection was “People of the Book” by Geraldine Brooks. A committee of 15 community volunteers chose this year’s novel.

One City, One Story is designed to broaden and deepen an appreciation of reading and literature in the community, engage participants in dialogue and bring Pasadenans together by promoting greater understanding of differing points of view.

Activities and events will be scheduled for March 2013. Details of book discussion groups, film series, lectures and other events will be announced later.
