April 2014 Highlights

April 2:  PD-1 responded to the 100 Block of West Montana St. regarding a fight at the location.  PD-1 arrived on scene first and located the fight in the street.  Once the aircrew was on scene, the suspect fled the location on foot.  Aircrew members maintained a constant eye on the suspect as he fled the area and directed patrol officers to him.  The suspect was detained without incident and arrested for Assault With a Deadly Weapon.

April 3:  PD-1 responded to Alhambra High School to assist the Alhambra Police Department with a large fight at the school.  The Aircrew arrived on scene and saw Alhambra PD patrol units in two separate foot chases.  The Aircrew was able to assist both officers during the course of the foot chases and both suspects were detained without incident.  Both suspects were arrested for making criminal threats.

April 5:  PD-1 responded to the 600 block of Busch Gardens Rd., regarding a residential burglary.  The resident came home and saw the suspect inside the residence.  The aircrew coordinated a containment around the location to prevent the suspects escape.  Once the containment was set, patrol officers checked the location and found the suspect hiding inside the garage of the location.  The suspect was detained and arrested for residential burglary.

April 7:  PD-1 responded to the area of Fremont Ave. and Main St. regarding a male who ran from Alhambra PD patrol officers after being pulled over.  The aircrew coordinated with Alhambra PD and South Pasadena PD patrol officers to set a containment in the area.  Once the containment was set patrol officers located the suspect hiding inside a parking garage that was inside the containment area.  A firearm was also recovered near the suspect.  The suspect was arrested.

April 9: PD-1 responded to the Ralph’s grocery store at 160 N. Lake Ave. regarding a robbery that just occurred.  When the aircrew arrived on scene they located a male matching the suspect description walking at Lake Ave. and Colorado Blvd.  The aircrew directed patrol units to the male and he was detained.  The victim of the robbery identified the male as the suspect and he was arrested without incident for robbery.

April 22:  PD-1 responded to the 1800 block of Oak View Ln. in the City of Arcadia regarding a domestic violence incident.  When the aircrew arrived on scene they located two people in the front yard of the residence and directed patrol units.  One of the people contacted by patrol units was the suspect who was detained without incident.  The suspect was later arrested for domestic violence.

April 24:  PD-1 responded to the area of Belmont Ave. and Wyoming St. to assist Pasadena PD Detectives arrested a subject wanted for violating the conditions of his parole.  As officers attempted to contact the suspect he fled in his vehicle and a pursuit ensued.  Once on scene, the aircrew managed the pursuit as the suspect fled on streets in Pasadena and Los Angeles.  The suspect eventually fled on foot and the aircrew set a containment in the area.  The suspect was located inside the containment by officers and arrested for the parole violation and a domestic violence incident.

April 30:  PD-1 responded to the area of Cherry Ln. and Benito Ave. in the City of Alhambra regarding a vandalism.    The aircrew located a subject matching the description in the area and directed patrol units to him.  While waiting for patrol units to respond, the aircrew saw the suspect remove a spray can from his pocket and vandalize a garage door.  Patrol units detained the male without incident.  The suspect was arrested for felony vandalism.
