Injuries: Perry Simons suffered fire related injuries. He is currently hospitalized and is expected to survive.
Suspect: Garth Allen Robbins M/W/49 Pasadena resident (In custody)
On November 1, at about 2:42 a.m. the Pasadena Fire and Police Department responded to a fire at the adult living facility located at 1385 El Sereno Avenue. Pasadena Fire Department extinguished the fire at which time they discovered the listed victims.
As the investigation progressed evidence was recovered indicative of an intentionally set fire in Mr. Robbins’ room. The focus of the investigation shifted from a suspicious fire to an act of Arson/Murder.
On November 2, at about 5:42 a.m., officers saw Mr. Robbins at a local restaurant and arrested him without incident.
Mr. Robbins was booked at the Pasadena City Jail for murder without bail. The investigation is on-going and the case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration of filing.
