On Saturday September 15th, 2012 the Pasadena Police Department will team with State Farm Insurance to host the “Celebrate My Drive” event at the world famous Rose Bowl. Celebrate My Drive is a special day for the community to rally around and support teens everywhere as they learn to drive and get ready for the road ahead. Learning to drive is a big first step in life's journey. State Farm is proud to celebrate this milestone with teen drivers while making sure they stay safe on the road. As part of Celebrate My Drive, State Farm is giving away 14 $100,000 grants to high schools across the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to prizes, games and giveaways, State Farm Insurance is please to sponsor and debut The Pasadena Police Department’s simulation-based impaired and distracted driving program designed to prevent destructive driving behaviors among teens and young adults. The innovative technology presents students with a first person account of the real life consequences of distracted and impaired driving. Students and young adults will be encouraged to stop by the State Farm booth and the Pasadena Police Department’s DUI/Education trailer and give the simulator a try.
The event will be staged in Lot “H” of the Rose Bowl as part of the UCLA Football pre-game activities, and will take place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The event is free to the public; however, there is a fee for parking at the Rose Bowl.
